Listen back to Claire on the Ryan Tubridy Show

I was thrilled to be invited to speak on the Ryan Tubridy show about my return to third level education during the Covid 19 pandemic.  It was all thanks to a Springboard funded opportunity to study through Tangent at Trinity college.

Tangent is Trinity's "ideas workspace" offering educational and practical support to people returning to the workforce, aspiring entrepreneurs and people seeking to upskill or reskill. Tangent offers lots of undergrad and postgrad courses in really cool areas like Innovation, Creative Thinking, and Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Innovation and Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship.

I realised during my 20 week postgrad in Tangent that entrepreneurs come in all shapes and sizes, and so do businesses. A not-for-profit with a strong mission to create a social impact (like Vilomah) is just as viable as any tech start-up and two mothers with a mission are just as capable of starting and running a business as a boy-genius with a snazzy new app.

I highly recommend checking out Tangent courses and the fact that many are funded (100% for unemployed people and 90% for those in employment) means that they really are accessible to all.
